About Us
Ngaio Childcare Centre
Ngaio Childcare Centre is a licensed care and education service that operates daily from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Our centre employs a team of three qualified and registered early childhood teachers. This enables us to provide an excellent teacher-child ratio of three teachers to sixteen children per session. We are licensed for a maximum of sixteen children per day (four children under two years old and twelve children over two years old).
We provide enriching learning experiences that are based on children’s interests through collaboration with parents and whānau. Te Whāriki, the Early Childhood Curriculum’s principles are closely woven into our centre programme.
Ngaio Childcare Centre provides a stimulating educational programme that meets children’s interests and needs; and sets them on the pathway for lifelong learning.
Teachers at Ngaio Childcare Centre create a safe and friendly environment where each child is treated as a unique and special individual, and where families and whānau are warmly welcomed, where their contributions are valued and partnership is fostered.
Teachers at Ngaio Childcare Centre believe that respectful and responsive relationships between children and adults promotes self-esteem and social skills which empower children to learn.
