Ngaio Childcare Centre
Ngaio Childcare Centre is a licensed care and education service that operates daily from 8:30am to 1:30pm. Our centre employs a team of four qualified and registered early childhood teachers. This enables us to provide an excellent teacher-child ratio of three teachers to sixteen children per session. We are licensed for a maximum of sixteen children per day (five children under two years old and eleven children over two years old). We have a roll of approximately fifty children per week.
Ngaio Childcare Centre aims to provide enriching learning experiences that are based on children’s interests through collaboration with parents and whānau. Te Whāriki, the Early Childhood Curriculum’s principles are closely woven into our centre programme.
Ngaio Childcare Centre provides a stimulating educational programme that meets children’s interests and needs; and sets them on a pathway for life long learning.
Teachers at Ngaio Childcare Centre create a safe, warm and friendly environment where each child is treated as a unique and special individual, and where families and whānau are warmly welcomed, where their contributions are valued and partnership is fostered.
Teachers at Ngaio Childcare Centre believe that respectful and responsive relationships between children and adults promote self-esteem and social skills which empower children to learn.
