Head Teacher

Kia ora, my name is Pip Butler, Head Teacher of the Centre. I am a fully qualified and registered teacher. I have been working in early childhood education for over 30 years and have been at Ngaio Childcare Centre since 2006. I love working in the Ngaio community and being part of this small, but very nurturing early childhood environment and working alongside a fantastic teaching team. The small daily number of children allows teachers to work closely with each individual child and helps to build close trusting relationships with both tamariki and their whanau. I am fully committed to quality care and education of our tamariki and I feel lucky to be a part of each child's learning journey at Ngaio, and watching each child grow and develop into happy, independent, confident and competent learners. I am married to Clint and we have two boys.
